For years now I’ve been a big fan of The Mac’s work. His style, application and capability to do these giant/to scale portraits. I had the chance to meet him last week, at first meet a man of few words but his paintings say more than enough.

Skull & Polynesian cover up piece I did on Justin. lots of fun to do. I do so much in a day and take so many photos is hard to keep up with a proper time line. Lots of times the stuff im writing about happened weeks ago and blogging mostly ensues when insomnia strikes
i cut this thing out by hand. exacto x tracing paper, not as easy as i thought. its use was not for the painting below but if i didn’t share its purpose might have been in vain. so i just thought i should share

This is the kind of stuff I’m talking about! Quality work, taking the time, the time to learn and the skills you earn, respecting a craft and the effort put in to it, a master and apprentice. Learning and teaching, handing it down passing on the knowledge to those that earn the right to know. Paying your dues and respecting the game. I am all for forward movement and thinking, technology and advancements but always respecting tradition. These are qualities and morals that i have learned and come to live by and respect. (big ups to all involved in this video, i dig it)

Today was by far better than yesterday. Lets just hope it keeps on getting better from here on out. One of my appointments didn’t show today. So instead of tattooing i drew this picture. Its not done yet but far enough along to show i guess. Does any want to make a permanent life decision and put this on there body for ever and ever? Let me know. Also Shawna brought me this cool little skull guy & its purple so i like even more! if each one of my customers brought me a skull every day at the end of the year i would have enough of them to have a skull art show. (hhmmmmmm…)
