First i would like to thank all of those that came out and supported a good cause tonight (2by2 NDK fundraiser party) although i showed up at the end and missed most of it cos i had to work late. Anyway pics should be up on there site or on dosomethingtonight.com or something like that….? go look!
Lots of stuff has been happening lately, ill try and remember it all but i’ll start here.
The shop was busy and lots of tattoo getting done. These most recent tattoos ive been working on, all fun to do. Im surely blessed that i keep getting these cool customers that pretty much let me do what ever i want to them… tattoos i mean, but yea, free reign. At times this can be difficult if they give you too much, then i dont know what to do and then become unsure if thats what the customer wants….=/ ……? then i close my eyes and make anykine, cheeee!

Founder Eric Rulona and NDK team members have just returned from E&K Orphanage School in Malawi and want to share the story of this amazing place.
E&K was founded in 2001 and has become an important center for learning and community. Afterschool dance and drumming classes sustain a rich cultural history and offer children positive outlets in a community that desperately needs them

I dont know if any of you out there notice this but within the past couple of years it seems like everyone quit their job and became a tattooist or they think they are a tattoo artist. It never fails, i go to dinner or to a club or pass people on the street and lo an behold someones in my face about how they’re apprenticing at this shop or i do tattoos now and oh its so easy, and im the best blah blah blah, not realizing how stupid they sound to me.
If anyone out there has really been an apprentice. I mean REALLY been, for anything dosent matter. You know how fuckin hard it is. You bust your ass you get treated like shit but thats how it goes. Its the process of elimination. “the totem pole” BUT YOU EARN YOUR PLACE TO BE THERE! so to every person out there that watched miami ink and saw kat von d become famous and thinks that tattooing is where the fame and the money is. GO SUCK IT!!!!!!!!! even those guy got like 10+ years in the game and payed their dues.
I live breath eat and sleep tattooing thats what i do and thats what i am. I sacrificed a lot and put my heart in to this game. So to the people out there that really have no respect for what i do and are taking it for granted this is for you (these are the thoughts and opinions of my own and have nothing to do with the new up and comers in the game that are putting in the work. and again if you don’t like what i have to say. oh well but at least you read this.) -lucky olelo

This is PAKA, the crazy fireman, a customer and friend of the shop and today he and his friend Even offered to take us jetsking at sand islang. Ive been jetsking before but this was the best experience by far. Lets just say it was awesome. These things go so fricken fast and there are pretty much no rules over there. We must have gone like 4 or 5 miles out into the ocean. Wish i could have brought my camera. And now im burnt to a crisp. Im so sunburnt i fear for the pain tomorrow brings. but it was worth it.
