The original painting was done by a great artist Albero Vargas. for those of you not familiar with his work and enjoy classic pin up style art. This is right up your alley. Here is Derek’s version/tribute to his mother “Alberta Mae” classic design to match a classic name. Notice the nice shoe and flag. Derek scolded me until i got it right. Of coarse i kept getting the name wrong while doing the drawing but at least i tattooed it right! Lots of fun to do. I dont do much pin up girl stuff but would love to do more. -aloha
CHECK IT! a good concept+great imagery+followed+pretty much free reign on the design = “MEAN!” All the things that make up a good/fun tattoo. On a side note for some reason when i tattoo people they try to get me really drunk when they see me out.? why is that? they’re either really happy or maybe they want to take advantage of me… NO “Ruffie Coladas” please. cheee! thanks for the stellas Cam.
People always ask me how to go about getting a tattoo and whats the process. Here are a few helpful hints. I hope they help. step 1, KNOW WHAT YOU WANT! good example (miya “heart wings banner.” (lucky) “COOL!” but be open for suggestions. There is also a definite difference between a suggestion and your tattoo artist telling you what you want. “i don’t know, what should i get?” Tattoos are about individual personality, feeling and style, a representation of yourself (a Soul”s Signature). So if your tattoo artist is meeting you for the first time how could they possibly know these things about you… Last part on the subject. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. Tattoo artist should have a great knowledge about different subject matters but they don’t know everything, and we don’t all speak and write different languages. (a lot of times i will learn something new from my customer by asking them what there tattoo means) So don’t come in and ask what the the ancient greek symbol for life is or trust no bitch in chinese, cos i won’t know.

step 4 finish your customers tattoo, tell them they are awesome then you tease them about being a photo nerd!

Its a great new way to keep your face warm and it really brings out your eyes. I mean, if the eyes are the windows to our souls, what better way to accentuate them. It also helps you step your game up. If you can pull a piece wearing one of these you’re the man/woman. 1 size fits all @ blockbuster
HELLO KIDS! its furlow friday, there’s no school, its 10am in the morning i can barely open my eyes and i feel like sleeping for 12 more hours. but you know what there is… WORK!!! so soak it up. I figured if i don’t do this now it probably won’t get done for another few days. anyways Killa Cam asked me for a bali style mask and here it is. We had a little confusion with the schedule and a not so norm stop and go tattoo session, but we got it done Sorry i made you miss the fights. I’ll put more pics up later. Peace
So after a long week and a very eventful weekend on Sunday the Woman and I took a little trip to the north shore for the day. We got a late start on the day but with no traffic, it was smooth sailing out there. First stop, Cholos to feed da face! Once all that was done we hit the beach. Stopping and checking out the big but not soooo big waves at a few beaches, and even if it sounds gay i am always amazed by Hawaii’s beauty. Nature is just rad, period. After nerding out for a minute wishing i was not a kook and dreaming i was in the Pipemasters, we decided to walk off some of that food and head to waimea. If you are not familiar with “digging the trench” this is whats up. a few guys bring a few shovels and dig a connection from the end of the river to the ocean. The funny part is that there were some pretty decent waves in the ocean yet these guys rather play fake wave pool in the doo doo water. Naaaah, I m just hating cos i didnt go in…but pretty self explanatory and cool to see… anyways A great day, out of the city, my woman, relax, food, beach, sun set. nuf said
